May 31, 2016 · I don’t know if this is a topic I should be asking about on this forum but I just wanted to know why my mesh turns black in weight paint mode in blender when using armature. If I delete all of the bone groups attached to the mesh the mesh turns blue but as soon as I try to add weight to the mesh it turns black again.

To enter Weight Paint Mode, just go to the Interaction Mode selector in the … and red applied; the colors represent the weights of the currently selected bone.
